The story of the Gabriel Meffre Winery began in 1936, when Gabriel and his wife, both passionate about wine, created their ‘Négociant-Vinificateur’ business in Gigondas.
More than 80 years later, the family business has built on its strong foundations and has established its reputation as a leading Winery in the southern Rhone Valley. With a complementary know-how of ‘Négociant-Eleveur’ and Producer, the Winery is deeply involved in sustainable development and Social Responsibility (CSR).
Gabriel Meffre Signature
Delicious and savoury from day one: this is the commitment of our Gabriel Meffre "signature" wines. For each appellation, and in keeping with the characteristics of the vintage, our know-how is recognisable through our experienced blending of "terroirs" and grape varieties and through our careful maturing, favouring purity of fruit and silkyness of texture.
Laurus
Made with Philippe Cambie, reknowned consultant oenologist in the Rhône Valley, Laurus range is matured in 275-litre Laurus barrels refining the structure of the wine. These are complex wines with plenty of character and strong cellaring potential : gastronomic wines "par excellence".
Domaine de Longue Toque
Nestled in the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail since 1918, the Domaine de Longue Toque is one of the prestigious estates of Maison Gabriel Meffre. The vineyards are located on a mosaic of terroirs that draw their original character from different geological layers, altitudes and exposures in Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu.
